SEVIS Fees

The U.S. government requires a SEVIS fee for all F-1 Student Visa applications. This is a one-time payment. To make the process easy, IELP can collect and submit your SEVIS fee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Your SEVIS fee receipt will be mailed to you with your I-20. You can choose to pay this fee yourself at Student and Exchange Visitor Program.

Reprocessing Applications

Students who cannot attend their session and need to defer must pay a $75 reprocessing fee. This fee covers the shipping charge to mail a new I-20 with the correct session dates. Students who live in remote areas may be charged an additional $25 remote-shipping charge to cover additional shipping costs

Health Insurance

F-1 students must purchase health insurance at registration or show proof of adequate health insurance coverage (policies must be in English).

Payment

You may pay with check, traveler's check, money order, wire transfer, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or American Express). Cash payments are not accepted.

While students are required to show proof of $5,800 USD in a bank account, actual costs may be higher.  UNO reserves the right to alter program costs when necessary.
