University Department Offices
Counseling Services offer problem assessment and short-term personal (mental health) counseling and career testing and counseling to currently-enrolled UNO students. These services are focused on the resolution of students' current personal concerns and problems which might interfere with academic functioning. Counseling Services also provides consultation services for UNO faculty and staff with concerns about students, and psychoeducational outreach and workshops to the UNO community.
Career Services provides a range of services for current UNO students and recent alumni to assist them with identifying, clarifying and pursuing their career goals. Services include résumé and cover letter writing and review, mock interviewing, professional skills development, networking opportunities, on-campus recruiting events, career fairs, and the coordination of internships and experiential education opportunities.
Student Health Services
Student Health Services is committed to providing the highest quality health care to the UNO community. Health Services offers evaluation and treatment of illness and injury, as well as educational programming for health promotion and illness prevention. Primary care is provided to students, on an appointment, and walk-in basis. A health insurance plan is also available.
The Division of Student Affairs is in some large or small way involved in just about every event or activity that is sponsored at the University of New Orleans. Whether it is through direct leadership to departmental events or advising student organizations or even providing support to university events, the Division of Student Affairs works very hard to enrich the lives of
The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership (SIL) is committed to providing opportunities through which students may become meaningfully involved in campus life. Our programs support the enhancement of learning, educational growth and holistic development of students. Student Organization Offices
Student Activities Council (SAC) is the university's official student programming board on campus. The purpose of SAC is to provide educational, cultural, social, and entertaining activities for the UNO community. With students' input, SAC comes up with new, fresh events on-campus
Student Government provides an opportunity for students to participate in the general community affairs of the University. There is a commitment to focus on the development of the whole student by extending the classroom experience through extracurricular activities. In addition, SG maintains a variety of services such as forums for students to express ideas and concerns with administration and free fax services for students.
The Leadership Cabinet
The Leadership Cabinet at the University of New Orleans aims to improve and enhance student success in college and beyond. Student members of the Leadership Cabinet plan and execute UNO student leadership programs. The UNO Leadership Cabinet is composed of student leaders with diverse backgrounds, leadership styles, and personalities, however, all unite under a common passion for inspiring fellow students to become effective, ethical leaders.
The Driftwood is the University of New Orleans' weekly newspaper. The newspaper keeps the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the University informed about events on and around campus. We cover crime, politics, sports, reviews of movies, bars, restaurants around town, and much more. The Driftwood news stands can be found in all buildings on campus including the University Center and the Cove.
Greek Life is composed of diverse and innovative student leaders. These campus leaders embody scholarship, service, and brotherhood or sisterhood, which help cultivate the uniqueness of the University of New Orleans. Our Greek community consists of three Councils that advise over 14 chapters at the University of New Orleans:

The Service Coalition at the University of New Orleans is a student run community service organization. The Service Coalition serves as the connection between students, student groups, non-profits, and service providers. The Service Coalition works to address New Orleans' social, environmental, and education needs by establishing volunteering opportunities for UNO students.
