Robyn Hoskins was born in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, where she spent her days boating under Carolina blue skies and her evenings catching fireflies and stargazing. After earning a BA in American Studies and Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she disregarded her degree almost entirely and joined the Coast Guard. Robyn wrangled barges and deckhands in Pittsburgh, PA for a few years before the Coast Guard shipped her down to New Orleans. Among the flood of seafood, haunted history, and unabashed weirdos, Robyn found her true home and decided to stay. She combined her experience training roomfuls of reluctant petty officers and her love of a good story to earn an MA in English (Teaching) from UNO. Now, you can find her co-helming the front office, teaching writing, elbows-deep in horror or sci-fi, and raising an army of backyard chickens and ducks.
