• Perform liaison role between the UNO Policy Training Unit and LDH Medicaid office. • Report to and communicate with their supervisor regarding Medicaid training requests. • Coordinate with other Medicaid training units to ensure continuity of messaging and reduction in training overlap. • Participate in meetings that are held in the state Medicaid office as needed. • Assist with the development of internal Medicaid cross-section trainings and courses regarding global Medicaid information that may include policies, procedures, federal and state regulations, general program information and other topics, as needed. These trainings may include in-person training, online courses and courses conducted via webinar. • Manage, update and maintain a complete catalog of all training materials in the agency’s management system, as well as a calendar of upcoming training sessions. • Communicate and promote training opportunities to Medicaid staff, manage enrollment in training programs and track participation/attendance for Medicaid records. • Meet with LDH staff to discuss program and policy changes and their effects on training materials. Make necessary edits to materials and secure approval of all modifications from their supervisor • Review final training materials to ensure that they are accurate, complete and that it meets the required specifications. • Maintain training materials that accurately reflect current Medicaid, programs, policies and procedures. This should include development of a comprehensive reference manual for the trainer’s use. • Secure venues for all classes and workshops. This includes coordination of all audio/visual equipment, scheduling of any conference lines or webinar capabilities. • Compile materials needed for venue, including set‐up and tear‐down of workstations for a hands‐on classroom experience, as required. Some venues may require overnight travel. • Coordinate scheduling with the person assigned to present the training and be on site to assist the presenter as needed. • Present trainings when requested. • Perform administrative tasks associated with reporting and financial record keeping. • Other tasks as directed.
• Bachelor's degree. • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in training, project management or communications related field. • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills. • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Professional experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
• Advanced degree. • Knowledge of Louisiana Medicaid policies and procedures. • Minimum 1 year experience reviewing and editing written content for accuracy, and general proofing/grammar. • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support. • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a training, project management or communications related field. • Previous experience in public speaking, presentations and/or training environments.
