Background
Pamela A. Kennett-Hensel, Ph.D., holds the Chase II Professorship. She also is a Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Department of Marketing & Logistics. Professor Kennett-Hensel joined UNO in 2000. Since Hurricane Katrina, she has been examining the impact of event-induced stress on consumer behaviors (i.e., impulsive and compulsive buying; view of possessions). She also is examining the impact of CSR (corporate social responsibility) on consumer relations.
Dr. Kennett-Hensel’s research has been published in journals such as Marketing Letters, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Services Marketing, Journal of Marketing Education, and the Journal of Business Ethics, It has also been presented at numerous national and international marketing conferences. She also serves on the boards of the Marketing Management Association and MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching). Dr. Kennett-Hensel teaches marketing research and services marketing at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
